Renovation: Moriggia Pelascini Hospital, Gravedona Higher efficiency, lower energy costs – thanks to state-of-the art condensing boiler technology The “Ospedale Moriggia Pelascini”, with 210 beds, is situated in the picturesque, tranquil location of Gravedona, on the northern bank of the Comer Lake, in the Lombardy region. The hospital’s entire heating system was ageing and too costly to run. Consequently, the planning of a new heating sys- tem was essential. The brief was to replace the old boilers with new, modern ones. The decisive factors for the planned renovation were firstly the improvement of the system’s cost-efficiency in order to reduce costs, and secondly to significantly reduce of the emis- sions in order to meet the requirements of the local legal regulations. ELCO had the solution ready on hand - namely, the gas condensing boilers RENDAMAX 3605, which tick all the boxes in terms of cost-efficiency and emission values.
