Services to match the heating system Modern heating systems are packed with sophisticated tech- nology and complex electronics. Particularly in commercial and public buildings, it is essential to have a system with a “full service history“. The failure of the heating system can have dire consequences in these buildings, resulting in production losses, rent cuts and action for damages. Schools and hospi- tals also need to be able to rely on trouble-free operation. For this reason, ELCO offers the right services to match each heating system and every requirement. From the professional commissioning, to the routine maintenance through to servic- ing and reliability checks over many years. Assure yourself long-term functional reliability and cost certainty with an ELCO service agreement. The company’s Technical Sales Director, Simon Simmons, outlines the advantages of this plant: “The AURON DF vacuum tube collectors from ELCO are particularly easy and flexible to install and to align at an optimum angle to the sun. The freely obtained solar energy plays a major role in the en- vironmentally friendly design of this innovative building. Thanks to the vacuum insulation of the collector tubes, the energy yield is significantly higher than that of conventional flat-plate collectors.” • Ideally suited for the solar hot water generation and heating back-up. • Highly flexible installation system. • Can be installed on pitched roofs, flat roofs, ground and facades. • Optimum hydraulic connection. • Highly durable and long service life. • Ideally suited for retrofitting. • Winner of the iF Product Design Award. State-of-the-art solar plant and condensing boiler technology perfectly combined The building costing £ 4.5 million was constructed by Mullaley & Company Ltd. Hunters was responsible for the planning and project management. The building complex consists of a single-storey garage with four parking spaces, a fire station drill tower and a two-storey administration building with accommodation. The operations centre for the boroughs of Basildon and Castle Point is also based in the station and is responsible for fire safety and administration. The fire station also runs a programme for supporting young people, who have attracted attention to themselves on account of troubles at school or criminality.
